About Cosmodex

Cosmodex is a public-access space encyclopedia and interactive atlas of our solar system and beyond. Our mission is to make real astronomical data beautiful, accessible, and easy to understand for everyone — from curious beginners to seasoned space enthusiasts. We cover planets, moons, stars, constellations, and key astronomical events, drawing on data from the world's leading space agencies and research institutions.

Every figure and fact on Cosmodex is sourced from authoritative scientific databases. Our planetary data comes from NASA's official planetary fact sheets and mission archives, supplemented by ESA mission data and peer-reviewed astronomical catalogs. Moon phase calculations use established astronomical algorithms. We update our data regularly as new missions provide refined measurements, and we clearly note when a value is approximate or subject to ongoing scientific revision.

Cosmodex is an independent educational project with no affiliation to NASA, ESA, or any other space agency. Our goal is to bring the universe a little closer to anyone with a browser and a sense of wonder. If you have questions, spot an error, or want to suggest new features, we'd love to hear from you.
