Mythology & History
In Greek mythology, Sagitta represents the arrow used by Heracles to kill the eagle (Aquila) tormenting Prometheus, or the arrow of Apollo used to slay the Cyclopes. Despite being the third smallest constellation, it was one of the 48 listed by Ptolemy.
